Be the fastest Human-Powered boat on

In the first mass participation marathon

We are proud to have the RNLI as our main charity. If you wish to race for them, please sign up or take on the challenge for your chosen charity like last years crews...

LOCH NESS 21 Miles

Monster the Loch is the first mass participation boat race on Loch Ness. All human powered boat types are invited to race, but as the weather and the Monster can be unpredictable the boats must be sea worthy.

The Loch is 21 miles long, 1 mile wide and who knows how deep!!

In 2019 we saw 52 boats of all shapes and sizes line up side by side on the start line ready to taken on Nessie!

The crews ranged from Pedalo's and self built boats to international rowers and kayakers.

The race will be run with the wind, the course will run from Dores or Fort Augustus. If you are looking for a challenge, but 21 miles is too far then you can team up and change at Foyers Campsite (roughly halfway).

The conditions this year were fast with a good tailwind from start to finish.

The Great British 8+ clocked a time of 2hrs 4mins and 57sec this broke the previous record by 22 minutes, we also had a 2 man Sea kayak and Coastal quad that also surpassed the previous record! The pedalos came in last with a respectable 7hrs 19mins 35sec.

Frequently asked questions

DEFINE THE TERMS: Hemp Oil, CBD Oil, Isolate, Full-Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, etc.

There’s so much confusion between these terms. Some people refer to “hemp oil” when speaking about hemp seed oil which is typically found in grocery stores; while others use it as shorthand to refer to an oil extract that carries CBD (cannabidiol) and other cannabinoids, with many other variations in between. For clarity, 'hemp oil' is generally defined as oil that is pressed from hemp seeds, and is primarily composed of beneficial dietary fats and omegas. This means it can provide similar health benefits to flax seed, sunflower seed, and other nutrient-rich oils, but does not include the full complement of the plant's naturally occuring phyto (plant-based) nutrient compounds (such as CBD and many other cannabinoids). These other phyto-cannabinoids are found most abundantly in the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant (also known as "aerial parts"). Full-plant extraction captures the other phyto-nutrients, CBD among many others, into a natural botanical oil (not an isolate). After separating the raw oil from the plant bio-mass during our clean CO2 botanical extraction process, we’re left with a thick raw plant extract that retains the full range of phytocannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids, as well as the standard omega's, dietary fats, plant proteins, etc. - all of which are found naturally in hemp. Once refined, this 'Full-Spectrum Oil' will also likely contain a very small amount of THC ( delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol ), the cannabinoid responsible for getting people high. Though Full-Spectrum Oil containing very small amounts of THC has a place in many products, we take an extra step with our consumer product lines and any trace amount of THC is removed with advanced and costly column chromatography. The resultant 'B road-Spectrum Hemp Oil' is considered 'THC-Free' to remove the worry from consuming Hemp Oil products. We see others using an isolated form of CBD (referred to as Isolate) and, while cheaper, it does not include the hundreds of other benefical plant-based nutrients. Isolate is generally a chemically produced form of CBD typically derived using potentially toxic non-polar solvents and reactors to acheive a powdered form. At Magic Buzz, we use the term 'Hemp Oil' or 'Hemp Oil Complex' as a term for natural 'Broad Spectrum Hemp Oil' (THC-Free). This is the optimal base for our globally available products, to effectively navigate the dizzying array of country and region-specific Regulatory compliance issues. Broad Spectrum Hemp OIl is the safest, cleanest, most effective, and internationally compliant manner to consume cannabis in its natural form. We are 100% dedicated to delivering the full complement of hemp phyto-nutrients in pure oil form, along with long-lasting energy and focus from other plant-based stimulants, to our loyal customers and consumers.

Will I feel anything from Hemp and/or Hemp Oil (CBD) products?

The most accurate answer to that question is - it depends. Meaning, it depends on what your unique biological makeup may be dificient in. Each body is different, so every body will have a different response. Since pure Hemp Oil with Cannabinoids works with the body’s internal Endocannabinoid System to maintain good health and nutritional balance, the effect is personalized based on what you have going on internally (your physiology). Many people mention a feeling of calmness, while many others note that hemp oil extracts help them feel focused. The other functional ingredients in Magic Buzz products such as Yerba Mate tea, Goji Berry and Caffeine most certainly have uplifting and energizing effects... The best way to find out how Hemp Oil Complex with CBD will work for you, is to try it for yourself!

Why is the 2018 Industrial Hemp Farm Bill so important?

The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 removed Hemp (defined as Cannabis Sativa-L with less than 0.3% THC) from Schedule I on the Controlled Substance Act, making it an ordinary agricultural commodity. Its provisions were incorporated in the 2018 United States Farm Bill that became law on December 20, 2018. Technically, Hemp plant extracts such as CBD and other cannabinoids were never included in the Controlled Substances Act, nor should they be considered 'Novel Foods' as defined in the EU as foods not generally consumed before 1997, but the official recognition of this as a derivative benefit of the US 2018 Farm Bill is truly significant as it pertains to the legal and compliance landscape. A naturally occuring extract from the Hemp plant (Hemp Oil) is fully legal and completely non-intoxicating.

What is the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

The short answer is: ~ Both terms are used to descirbe a plant originating from the Family 'Cannabaceae' which has a genus "Cannabis". ~ The Species "Cannabis Sativa-L" is differentiated into the classifications "Hemp" and "Marijuana" primarily by Conventional Wisdom and Federal Regulation. ~ "Hemp" or "Hemp Oil" is classified by the US Federal Government as containing less than 0.3% THC, and is considered a 'Natural Product' or 'Agricultural Product' by Federal Law. ~ "Marijuana" or "THC Oil" is classified by the US Federal Government as any Cannabis or Cannabis derivative containing more than 0.3% THC, and is considered a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance under the Controlled Substances Act of 1971.
